There has been a lot of talk about the ‘rebuild of Christchurch’ since the February 2011 earthquake hit. Thermosash was one of the few fortunate companies that whilst got shook up, quickly did an assessment of the damage to our buildings, tidied up materials that were agitated, re-calibrated our highly precise CAD CAM and CNC machines and glass processing equipment. We had key team members assessing our clients façade systems, curtainwalls and commercial windows for safety and in some cases re-warranting the system due to little or no evidence of damage – we believe this is largely due to our history of engineering suites for seismic movement.
We are now seeing the commercial building sector re-establish itself and begin the Architectural healing of the city. A great deal of hard work is underway creating the canvas to again build upon, from the resurrection of infrastructure, the projects conception from the developers, investors and tenants, Architects, Engineers, Quantity Surveyors and the many other contributors to the design team - we are now seeing some great new projects on the drawing board and under construction.
We have added this page to our website - and will continue to update it - to aid in highlighting Thermosash’s capability and contribution to many of the construction projects rebuilding the City of Christchurch.
