CW900 - Granite Wall

Introduction 

The CW900 series "granite" wall is similar in many respects to the CW400 series curtainwall, which is a high performance American pressure glazed stick curtainwall system. It has been a leading system (four-sided, mechanically entrapped) in the USA. It lends itself to automated production and is extremely fast to erect on site (2 floors at a time) from inside the building. Each stage of erection and glazing can be easily inspected to prevent any leaks occurring in the finished curtainwall and the building can be closed in and made water-proof in a mill finished state.   

It is erected on site in mill finish material and the anodised or paint finish external and internal trims are fitted at the end of the contract to avoid marking or damage. The internal trims need not be in the same finish as the external trim. 

 
The system incorporates neoprene gaskets fully moulded at the corners and with internal tubular gaskets to give a controlled pressure to the glass over the total perimeter. All glazing is carried out from the inside (depending on design application).

Product Features

• A complete drainage system is incorporated to drain water at every lite. 

• All internal aluminium covers, cills and head trims are isolated from exterior aluminium against the transfer of heat or cold by the use of PVC isolators, giving a complete thermal break. The work is erected and glazed using mill finish aluminium. 

• A very wide range of glass and panel thicknesses can be accomodated in the design and opening vents can be incorporated, should this be neccesary. The system, which is designed to span two floors, sets out to use the minimum amount of aluminum to meet the design requirements of the specification or specific aesthetic demands.

Surface Finishing 

Polyester powdercoat  - Both standard and special colours available.
Anodised - All anodised colours available - commercial grade 20 micron finish recommended.
PVF2 Flourocarbon finishes - Available on request.

Maximum Spanning Ability

Warranty

The standard warranty is 5 years from the date of practical completion for these products. This covers workmanship and weather tightness, providing the subcontract includes fabrication, installation and glazing of all components.
