In 2007 the Meridian Energy head office specific design façade solution also known as Site 7 or The Kumototo Building, was completed by Thermosash Commercial (Main contractor - Fletcher Construction). The façade included; twin skin façade solutions, unitised panel wall solutions, automatic window actuators - providing passive heating and cooling of the building. Thermosash also provided, skylights shop-front and integrated timber louvres to this project. This building has been a flagship for sustainable architecture incorporating specific design façade solutions providing New Zealand with its First Green Star Design and Build. The Meridian Building in Wellington continues to prove itself through the integration of smart design and the clever use of specific design façade technology.
