Edward Ring is an experienced project manager with over eight years in the façade construction industry, delivering large-scale, high-value projects and complex builds across New Zealand. His hands-on knowledge spans design, procurement, manufacture, and site execution - contract management, H&S and subcontractor coordination.
Edward has a proven entrepreneurial background - having founded and scaled Dough Boys Bakery in 2017, growing it into a $2M/year wholesale and retail business with 10 full-time staff, two retail stores, and 10 satellite outlets across Auckland. Through this experience he developed crossover capabilities in operations, staff leadership, inventory management, and customer service — valuable skills for general and operational management in construction.
Edward is also involved in leadership development within the community as a Commissioned Officer - NZ Cadet Forces from 2010 until present. Volunteering as a Training Officer with the Air Training corps. He leads the development and delivery of a three-year cadet training programme, managing 14+ annual camps, target shooting, and gliding activities. He has held multiple leadership roles and helped grow his unit to 60 cadets—making it the third-largest ATC unit in the country. His involvement reflects a long-term commitment to youth development, structured leadership, and giving back to a programme that shaped his early success.
