Thermosash manufactures all our façade components in New Zealand, and primarily source materials were available from the New Zealand market.
Over 98% of the aluminium extrusion we purchase is manufactured from recycled content, sourced from the only re-melt facility in New Zealand, McKechnie.
Glass is one of two primary materials used most frequently in our trade. With glass not being manufactured in New Zealand, Thermosash obtains the majority of its glass direct from international tier one suppliers.
Thermosash uses a range of different insulation manufacturers for our unitised products, pending the project hierarchy drivers around desired insulation values, depths available within the system and fire and acoustic ratings.
The design life of a Thermosash unitised curtainwall façade system, if maintained according to our Operations and Maintenance Schedule, should well exceed 50+ years.
Thermosash are founding members of MATES IN CONSTRUCTION, and active sponsors of the NZIOB, NZIQS, NZIA, NWIC, New Zealand ZAC Façade Conferences, contribute to Westpac Helicopter, Children’s Christmas Party, amongst other smaller charities.
Thermosash has the engineering, quality control and skilled install teams to help manage and achieve performance specific project requirements.
