Toitu Carbonreduce Certification
Thermosash Commercial Ltd achieved a Toitū Carbonreduce Certification for the financial period 2021/2022
Sustainable Manufacturing
We recycle 100% of all our metals. Thermosash manufacture all of our own façade components in New Zealand, and primarily source materials were available from the New Zealand market to reduce transport distances and emissions from freight.
Sustainable Aluminium
Thermosash partners with a NZ-owned extruder achieving a super low embodied carbon per kg.
Sustainable Glazing
We are able to recycle on average 99.5% of commercial float glass and IGUs, other glass can be 100% recycled unless it contains metal or is contaminated.
Sustainable Insulation
Thermosash uses a range of different insulation manufacturers for our unitised products, pending the project hierarchy drivers around desired insulation values, depths available within the system and fire and acoustic ratings.
Worksite Sustainability
Thermosash makes use of a variety of processes to reduce / eliminate / reuse products being taken to site or the wastage on site during construction projects.
Recycling Plastics
We recycle 100% of our uncontaminated soft plastics. It is important to note that only plastics with no chemical or waste contamination are accepted.
Recycling Cardboard & Paper
We recycle 100% of all our cardboard and paper. Cardboard recycling is facilitated by local businesses for each of our regional operations.
Recycling Timber
We recycle 100% of our timber. This is managed by a local recycling business for each of the regional operations.
Refurbishment and Re-use
The design life of a Thermosash unitised curtainwall façade system, if maintained according to our Operations and Maintenance Schedule, should well exceed 50+ years.
