20 Customhouse Quay(20CQ)
Project Overview
20CQ is a 14-storey office building situated on the waterfront in Wellington. It received a 5 Green Star excellence rating. The building sits on a seismic base isolator which separates it from the ground and offers protection during an earthquake by allowing the building to move sideways.
The diagrid lightweight structural steel creates the diagonal diamond pattern across the curved facade of the building - which has been closed in with high performance Thermosash PW1000 Unitised Curtainwall and bespoke solar shading elements to help manage energy performance.
